Daikin

Daikin ductless systems

In Daikin's words, its ductless mini-split systems "offer quiet, energy-efficient heating and cooling without the need for ductwork." One or more indoor units connect to an outdoor unit through refrigerant lines, which makes them a good fit for additions, retrofits, hot or cold spots, room-by-room upgrades and homes without ducts.

• Single-zone: one indoor unit to one outdoor unit, for a bedroom, office, bonus room, garage, workshop or sunroom.
• Multi-zone: one outdoor unit to several indoor units, each room or zone at its own temperature.
• Indoor units that suit the room: wall-mounted, floor-mounted, ceiling cassettes and concealed ducted units.
• Heat pump models heat and cool. Daikin's inverter (variable-speed) compressors keep the temperature steady.
• Control by remote, smartphone app, or a Daikin ONE thermostat, depending on the model.

Daikin VRV for commercial buildings

Daikin describes its VRV products as designed for "residential, commercial, and industrial space needs", from condos to offices to large facilities. A VRV system runs many indoor units, each zone with its own control, from one outdoor system, and Daikin's ventilation units can be added to treat outside air in the same system.
